The son of a friend of mine is learning to read. He's at that stage where he reads everything he sees--and out loud.

Last week he asked his father, "Daddy, how come everything is made in China?"

True story. Just thought I'd share.

Dad said companies have to pay less to have things made in China.

Because people in a capitalist society like to buy products at least cost, and China does not have OSHA, EPA, or unions.

    Simple, easy to understand ecconomics.

To counter this trend, some folks would like to increase the power of OSHA, EPA, & unions. Now, that part I don't understand. :)
