Cut off the roots from my green onions and planted. You will get a chive or 2,then it keels over.Planted celery hearts,1 turned brown, other not doing much.Planted a big celery root,it has 3 leafy stalks coming out.All in all,not working so well.just an update.Anyone else having a better result from this?

Planted about 1/2 inch onions and they came up really well. Celery requires a lot of water so don't even try to grow it.

Do you just get chives or the onion part too?

My onions are doing great, better than I expected. My celery, well it's so-so. This is my first time raising celery so I'm learning.
