Good to be home from sunny Florida, even if I had to give up 70F+ degrees between what Orlando/Tampa were experiencing and what I have here at home!

Here are some shots of our place. More pictures in Alternative Energy and Equine forums...

Thanks! Great pics. It feels as cold here as it looks there. I'll be singing "North....to Alasssskaaaa" all day today.

That would be either the Chugach range, or the Talkeetnas......pretty sure they are the Chugach though.

Very pretty where Hoofinit is, all I have for a view is TREES, hahaha

Great shots...and it's definitely whiter than it was in September! My cousins from Anchorage are down for the holidays, but they are heading back North sooner than they originally planned due to the cold weather hitting the city this year (fear of frozen pipes, etc.).

    Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Pouncer isn't far from me, just over a mile from here in the shortest path - down a trail on the south edge of my property! lol

Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, Pouncer is correct - the mountains visible here are the Talkeetnas to the northeast, Chugach to the southeast. On very clear days we can see the Susitna Mountains to the northwest and more of the Chugach Mountains to the southwest (they could even be the Kenai Mountains but I doubt it since the direction isn't quite right and the distance is so far...)

We really have amazing panoramic views here but this time of year it's hard to get a good picture due to the lighting. The mountains tend to be lost in the blue skies with their blue-hued shadows from snow-capped peaks...
