I moved my new mama duck with her 7 baby ducklings into the pig pen area to keep her away from the horny drake lol.. so now I am wondering, can pigs and ducks coexist? Or will my ducklings only get temporary home? I can imagine the pigs would eat any eggs that they find right? Would they eat a duckling too? or are they too lazy to chase a duckling down to eat it?>

They will eat ducklings if given the chance. I think they will eat just about anything.

Pigs like duck, they seem to think they are very tasty. :)

we have 3 sows & 1 boar (yorkshire) in a 3 acrea pen, my ducks, chickens, turkeys and anything else that free ranges wonders in there all the time and my pigs dont give a care. when i feed them the chickens will eat along side of them. Now if I throw a dead chicken, something esle dead they will eat it. (they didnt go after a dead cat)

    have a great day

My chickens free range and the oinkers don't give a care, they're fine with that......

.......if the pekins go into the pig pen, the oinkers make short work of them and there are feathers flying; the oinkers eat the ducks every time! Don't do it if you want to keep the ducks!

My pigs will eat it if it's smaller and slower than them. Chickens often make it into the pen and are usually too fast. One however thougt she was trapped and I didn't realize she was being attacked until I heard this terrible sound. found my pig nibbling on feathers. but she had figured out she could get away and was safe.

Our pigs will eat duck, but they prefer pheasant under glass.

wow, pigs are truly pigs eh. I will really comprehend what the phrase "you are such a pig" means when someone eats a lot :p

Wow thanks for the warning luvrulz. I'll be careful of my 3 little ducklings when I turn them loose. I wouldn't have worried because the chicks have always gone in the pig area and even eat out of their dish while they are eating!
