pigs and butter

    any thougths on feeding pigs butter?

    I would think they would appreciate every bite of the butter. You are only feeding this as a side dish and not as a single course aren't you? Too much butter would make for a fat slaughter hog IMO.

    We've fed old milk and yougurt to pigs - boy they go crazy for it! So I don't see why not butter. The best diet is a varied diet if you can. I read somewhere that someone had fed their pigs on the leftover grease that the fast food places will just throw out. I wish he would've stated how much he would feed them at one sitting.

    We feed our pigs (2) at least a gallon of fresh raw goats milk a day...
    I wouldnt think butter would hurt them at all.
