Piggy Questions :)

    What is the average age that pigs live to? I mean if they get to live as long a they naturally would. And what is average size of a full grown adult of a Duroc? Our pet pig was a Duroc and she lived 10 years and at her heaviest was close to 1000 pounds. I was wondering it this was average. I dont have any experience with pigs other than her.

    I think ten years is about right though I've read some get older. The Pig Site shows their lifespan to be 10-15 years. Seems like 1000 pounds is really a lot though. My duroc/yorkshires were 450 pounds at 18 months and they could have added weight but not doubled it.
