Pig prices

    Hello to all,I am wondering what are the prices of: full grown pig ready for sale(live weight),after slaughter,and the price of 20 kg pig-here in Balkans this category is quite often asked for weddings,newyears day,etc..(The pig is slaugthered,baked and it is served whole).The prices here are:full grown pig-2 $ for 1 kg,after slaugtering-2 $ and 80 cents,and for a 20 kg pig-3 $ for 1kg.

    We sell:

    Finisher (full grown 225 lbs live weight, ~130 lbs cuts) $350 delivered to the butcher

    Boar piglets $65 in the winter/spring/summer ($10 less in the fall)

    Gilt or Barrow piglets $75 in the winter/spring/summer ($10 less in the fall)

    20 Kg (44 lb) is about $10 more but then there is the cost of slaughter and dehairing which ads about $50 I think (I don't do it).

    Highlands you didnt write how many lbs or kg are piglets when you sell them,and how old are they( in days or months)?

    They're weaner piglets at about 4 to 6 weeks. Weights vary accordingly.
