My vote is for dog as well...maybe with some kind of deformity? The head certainly looks odd. According to article, the DNA report said it was a wolfdog hybrid.

Must've been. Only a werewolf would "scream." Couldn't possibly be a dog...

There used to be a wolf-dog hybrid at the North American Wildlife Park outside of Purdue Indiana that looked just like this in the muzzle but was wolf colored. Very sweet, if a little freaky looking.
    I'd bet wolf-dog or coydog.

That's about the freakiest-looking dog I've seen. And if you click the link, the picture of the woman is pretty freaky too..... :D

there was a story about a mystery animal in the virginia area a year or so ago. many folks thought it was a hyena that was running loose. i think it may have been one of these. i think there is a possibility that it is an animal that is so rare that the "powers that be" do not wish to admit they exist. the virginia story kinda fizzled out and i have heard no new info about it.

i think the dna test referenced in the article pertained to the mystery animal killed by a hunter in maine many years before.
