Photo Island is shutting down next month.
Anybody have a recommendation for a free or low cost photo album website?

Ofoto is okay...I'm not impressed with the quality of prints though.

Someone on here suggested WEBSHOTS a while back. I like it.

Snapfish. They are good people to deal with.

The only problem with webshots is that it's chock full of spyware and adware.

No registration necessary if you just want a hot linkable photo for posting at sites like this one. :)

    I like photobucket.com

I did just receive notice from them that they are going to start charging. I guess folks were not donating enough to make it work. Small amounts are still going to be free though.

I've never heard that. We don't have any popups or spam from this site.Been using it for years.
We have Spybot which really has helped with "other" sites. It can even restrict those sites that are full of it.

They are awful!!!!!! I downloaded wolf wallpaper from webshots......and it messed my computer up so bad with all the spyware on it......especially Hotbar. Had to call comcast....who in turn referred me to a website called www.spywareguide.com

Ran the free scan.....and it was just loaded with Hotbar...they got rid of it and one other that I can't remember the name of....it began with a T.....and now my computer is A-OK again.
