Turned on PBS last night and caught a piece of a show that looked like it was filmed (in color) around 1970. It featured a guy that would canoe across a lake with some simple tools, chop down some trees and built a log cabin. All hand tools.

I missed the part where he actually cut the trees, but it looked like he used an ax. Along the way, he built some shelves and some furniture. As the days got cooler, he built a fireplace.

Anybody know what this film is called? I was thinking of doing a library search for it.

I saw that too but I missed the middle. Heres a link with some info on it. I'm sure you could find it at the library.
