This is the time that a weed that I only know by "mustard" is growing very well. I was sort of hoping my goats would love it. Don't know cause when I get close enough to see what they are eating they look at me with the look of "alfalfa and corn" in their eyes.

We used to have a lot of mustard weed where we lived. now we've got a lot of kochia weed, and the goats love that stuff. Not only that, but it is more nutritious than alfalfa. As a matter of fact, it was brought to the US as a potential agricultural plant ot replace alflalfa. It didn't work though, so now it's the most popular weed in Utah!

Did you have goats when you had the mustard? Did they eat it? We also have kochia. It's a little early for it just yet. I agree, the cattle, sheep, goats and horse all seem to love kochia.
