I feel really stupid. I bought 2 MasterLock 911 Contractor Grade Weather tough locks today. I opened the first package, put the key in, turned it and the shackle doesn't pop up. I thought maybe this one was broken. So, I opened the next package, same problem. That makes me think I"m doing something wrong. I can't for the life of me figure out where there's a release or some other trigger for getting this open. This is the type of lock:

The black bib doesn't slide up or down. There's nothing else that moves that I can see. It's just beyond me? I've turned the key so hard, I'm afraid I'm going to break it or my finger trying.

    Please help.

probaly just stiff pull hard on the shackle. try hooking it on something to pull against and turn the key
