You can't see it but upstream from my pups on the right a creek enters.
There is the remnants of an old railroad trestle over the creek
Made of stone and concrete
It was finished in 1869
I sit here and wonder how many people rode that train by here and saw what I'm seeing today
Way more than I can count in the 100 years that train ran.
I'll be fishing another private access soon.
This spot is unique because the train stayed on the east side until it crossed the Castor River here and headed west.
I'll post pics of the concrete abutment in the middle of the river
This is the best spot to fish on the river.
When I first asked permission
No absolutely not.
So this evening about 4 I get to this spot

I think there was 2 but one is collapsed in the water to the left
