40 mph sustained winds with 90 mph gusts! A couple trees downed, dust reducing visibility to near zero...

On this day four years ago winds blew my patio roof away... On this day last year, I had a commercial farmer over, ad he had trouble getting home, because the dusty wind reduced visibility down to zero... I guess January 5 just is a windy day.

No wind here. Light rain all day - bizarrely warm. Creepy.

At least you still have trees to get blown down. we don't even have dust. It has all blown to South Dakota and Nebraska. Really, the wind does not blow in Wyoming. Nebraska and South Dakota suck.

LOL a lot of stuff blows into the yard. After a really bad wind storm you'll see a lot of roofs with missing patches of shingles and tree branches every where.

Come to think of it, actually, I do get winds that bad, minus the roof tiles - around here, nobody is fool enough to use shingles; they use cement roof tiles.

Yep, we're getting the same wind - you just get the gusts an hour to half an hour earlier than I (assuming you live in the Cajon pass, that is).

Know how to tell the city girls from the country girls on a windy day?
The country girls hold their skirts, and the city girls hold their hair.
