Whats best way to repair a large rip in a nylon sleeping bag? I found a nylon tent repair kit but its $10 and bag only cost me $20 in new condition. Kinda awkward to try and sew. Could I use some "stitch witch" and patch cut from old nylon windbreaker? Is their a better glue for nylon?

I recently bought some FABRI-TAC permanent adhesive at Joann's and it is great stuff! It is about $4. for the 4 oz bottle, but it is worth it. It is made for fabric and dries quickly. You could probably find a 40% off coupon for Joann's to use for it, too.

FABRI-TAC will stick to just about anything not just fabric and is washable. Have used it many years and is worth the 4.00.
Cut a patch from scrap fabric and glue it on.

I have used the type of product mentioned by Swamptiger on an old down jacket and it works great--goes through the washer/dryer just fine.
