Yey! I just checked the government website https://www.dtv2009.gov/ and they changed it!! Nursing home and assisted living residents can now apply for the $40 coupon for TV converter box's.

I guess they must have had too many complaints or something because they actually denied one for my friend in a nursing home a few months back. When I complained they said it was because nursing homes are businesses not homes. Im glad they woke up and changed it.

Im bumping this so more can see it. If it can save some elderly fixed income people $40 than its worth it.
I still makes me mad that the government denied the TV converter coupons to those in nursing homes for so many months before they changed it to include them. They of all people will need one and can least afford it. For some its all they can do but watch TV.
Some NH residents do not even know that regular TV will go poof in Feb. I printed off a bunch of applications (these have to be mailed in) and will set them out to the home I visit.
