My fb boer doe dropped two big bucklings on Sept. 1st...each weighed 10 lbs plus/minus an oz. One buckling has a VERY wobbly back hock. It almost looks as if its missing a ligament or something. I missed the birth and so can't say she didn't step on him and break it, but it is cool, there is no pain or swelling. When he walks, his hock almost inverts itself backwards at times or swings WAY to the outside.. I've seen kids born way back on pasterns for a couple days but nothing like this. Today he is up a bit more but still really wobbly on it; should I wrap it or wait it out a bit more? I gave them each a titch more than 1/4 cc of bo-se on Saturday morning. I'd appreciate your thoughts out there.
