New old guy from Oklahoma

I figured I better re-introduce myself. I am an empty nester within 5 years of retirement. My wife and I are in the home stretch.

Apparently, I signed up here in 2013, posted a few times and then fell off.
The wife and I just signed a contract on a 5 acre tract and my daughter bought the one next door to us, so effectively 10 acres. About 2/3 of it are heavily wooded.
We are planning on trying to be more self reliant. We have always thought that way, but we have lived in town for the most part. Hard to do much on an acre.

Anyway, I have a ton of questions, so bear with me.
