I am in the begging of replaceing the roller cams on the cutting arm and bill hooks on a NH 273. The rollers are held in place by a lock ring. However I don't see a split in the ring. Has anyone done this before. I don't know much about notters and don't want to mess the thing up.

The split is there somewhare. It is probily just a little large and the split is closed up. Take a screwdriver and go around the ring and then you will be able to see the split.

I'll take a look, its been a while since we changed them. I think you're stuck changing the whole bilhook assembly, I guess they figure if the roller is shot the hook is too. Its worth doing my neighbor sold his 273 in good working order for 3k, which seems high but maybe not for a good working machine.
