    Hi everybody,
I'm new to the site. We've had goats for over a year now. We raise both dairy and meat goats, and we do it naturally with homeopathic medicines and minerals. I was just wondering if anybody else on here did natural medicines. :)

Hello and Welcome....I've never tried any sort of natuaral medicines, but I do remember reading an article in goat rancher magazine about a goat farm in arkansas that has no problem with worms...seems there pasture is full of cedar trees and the tannins in the cedars work as a natural wormer....who knows maybe running goats through a cedar grove every once in awhile would control worm problmes....I haven't heard of any technical data on it though...

    Welcome!!

Hoegger Dairy Supply carries some herbal treatments. I am using the wormer on my two NDs. So far things look good, but I need to have a yearly fecal run to conofirm.

Welcome. I don't do all natural medicine because there times I feel antibiotics are necessary such as is cases of pneumonia. I also use regualr wormer. Lots of the things I use are natural, such as vitamins and minerals. If you plan to treat the more serious things naturally, I'd suggest you find a vet who treats animals this way. I know there are some around.

Welcome! I use a combination of natural/herbal treatments and regular meds. I have found that to be the most effective. :)
