I am new to gardening and would like some suggestions for seeds to be planted for fall containers. What can I start now? Am interested in either flowers or veggies - whatever will do well in pots or some kind of container. I welcome all suggestions.

    Best regards,
    Harold

Mixed leaf lettuce, buttercrunch lettuce, radishes, swiss chard, spinach, green onions and parsley & /or chives in a small pot you can bring inside. Broccoli does well in the fall.

Harold, since you’re in NC and the autumns are somewhat mild, I’d suggest pretty much any small vegetable crop. Along with what Barb had to offer, I’ve grown sugar snap peas, carrots and beets in pots here in central KY.
