Does anyone have a SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE Christmas stocking pattern to knit??? I have only been knitting simple things for about three years so this must be really simple! Just a plain, one color stocking would be fine.

My pattern is crocheted granny squares of equal size I like a 6 inch square. Make 8 squares (or however you like) 3 for down the leg to heel and one for foot/toe .... sew two sets of four together then two sides of sock together. If you dont crochet...just knit your squares!

Can you knit on double pointed needles? Can you knit in the round on two circulars? Can you only knit on two needles? Do you want little socks that you can hang on the tree, or big socks to stuff?

    Go to my site: www.thumbknitting.com/freesock.htm
These are on double pointed needles, baby size.

If you want a pattern for a larger size, post so and I'll see what I can do. I teach knitting.

See Martha Stewart Living Magazine, Dec. issue, pp 74-78 for very simple, well illustrated directions.
