For my back porch, I have a small freezer there & I think a bear is visiting. Would a baby monitor work? Or should I just put a chain around the freezer its small.

What's your objective? Watch the bear? Keep the freezer from being moved?

Do you think he can open it? Where I used to live, the city gave out locking garbage cans so bears couldn't raid them.

I really just want to see the wildlife & yes the freezer would be easy to open.We do have lots of bears here I have seen several .I have a video of one on my front porch 2 years ago that I made with my tablet.Have video of a huge racoon that must weigh 25 lbs it is the biggest one I have seen so far & I won't mention the big possum, LOL I am in a rural area.

You would have to put the baby monitor where the bear can't get it. I don't know if they detect motion if you are trying to view through a window.

You could use a cheap battery or solar drive way alarm. When it gos off get up and go look .
