I know different ones of you that show and take vacations have this all figured out. We plan to go back to my wife's country after 22 years. This trip should take at least a month if not a little longer. I have one buck and four does that are to kid at the first part of Feb. till the middle. We want to leave around the first part of June and come back sometime in July. We will have someone that will come and feed twice a day, but think that milking is asking too much. I do feel that if some of my does udders needed milking at times I could depend on them. My kids should be at least three and a half months which should be weaned by then, but am wondering if maybe some of them could be left on moms till I get back? I really don't want to dry my girls up that soon and would like to have milk for quite a while after I get back. I also don't want to pull any of my girls down either. Two of my does will be first kiddings and I know that drying up is not a good thing to do after this short of time. Need lots of suggestions. This is a very needed trip, but know that I will do alot of worring till I get home.
