    Just as an aside, I imagine the coltsfoot that you refered to is different than what grows here in my area which is Arrow-leaf Coltsfoot. Looks quite a bit different in that the leaves are lanciolate and from what I remember 8 or more inches long. Natives used it for the same purposes as the more common Coltsfoot. I've never seen it out of a bog, and in fact know of only one occurance in my county.
