I semi-retired a few years back and started making log furniture to keep my hand in(or out). It's the most fun I've ever had working.
When I first started I would use any wood I could get my hands on. I found a supplier for the red cedar about 100 miles from me. Since then it's about all I use, and it's easier to sell product made with such a distinctive, and popular wood.Very nice. Looks like you use a lot of red cedar, it's beautiful wood to work with.
A little town called Humble, just north of the anus,(Houston).Awesome furniture. Where about in Texas are you?
