My house is SOLD!!!!!

    The house I moved out of a year and a half ago is SOLD! No more second mortgage! Alleluia! Huzzah! Life is GRAND!

    Lucky that the house sold - not so lucky as I took a loss of $30,000. But at least it's DONE!

    By a "loss" do you mean you ended up selling it for $30K less than you bought it for or $30K less than what you had it listed for?

    I put down $20,000 and spent another $ 13,000 or so on repairs and such. After closing costs, including the realtor's fee, I walked away with $3,600. I sold the house for $9,000 less than I paid for it.

    When I eventually sell the house I'm in, I think I'll just rent for awhile!
