My homestead story

    I posted on anther thread about having set out to buy a toilet wax ring and ended up with a boat, and how that sort led to living on 40 acres in SD.

    A few others asked about the story, and as I had written it all out last spring, I figured I could post the link. Didn't want to hijack the other thread, so here it is.

    BTW, I think this is my first time actually starting a thread.

    Wow, I just read up to the part about the gravel pit. I can't imagine how upset all of you must have been. I'll continue part 5 later, I want to see how things turned out.....

    Wow, that is quite the story. Things never turn out as simply as we think they should, eh?

    It was kind of fun to read you story, as someone who is still living in the S of the River suburbs and in the planning stages for an acreage. :)
