Well I got my first metal lathe. It is an old Atlas lathe. I don’t know the model # yet. I haven’t had time to do anything but set it in my shop. I need to try to find out where I can get some parts for it. If anybody knows where they sell the parts for old lathes PLEASE let me know.

    Thanks

Yes, there are some parts still available for the old Atlas lathes. I think there may be a Yahoo group devoted these old lathes, do a Yahoo search to find it. Here is a link to a to a group that can and will be glad to help, http://www.chaski.com/ubb/ubbthreads.php, go to the general discussion page.

If you guys want to keep up on the progress of my lathe restoration here is the link. I am having a ball working on this. I just wish I had more time to work on it! I am now planning my deer hunting trip to Georgia. Is there any homesteaders in the Wrens GA. area? Id like to get together and talk when I am down the first week of Nov.
