Seems people enjoy letting others know what types of
tunes they prefer. Just today I was discussing at work with
my young cohort a rock song made long before she ever
was born that she liked. I said that was the DNA of her
generation music even that I like sometimes. I'm not a big
Country music fan, but one young current singer Brandi
Carlisle shows some pretty good talent and the past tunes
by Shania Twain bridge over some generational popularity.
For me though, I'll never tire of Enya. She hasn't bred any
really new tunes, but her past is timeless.
So, it's difficult to pin down my preferred gendre . If I hear it,
and like it, don't matter the category.

What about your musical attachments?

Well for myself my preferred music ranges from country to rock to death metal to hip hop to classical etc etc. Easier to say the only music I don't listen to is pop and gangster rap crap but since I like to sing most of the time I listen to country since it's more enjoyable to sing to (family thing - my one uncles a musician).

Same here if it has a good beat or vocals good music is good music no matter how it's classified. I listen to everything thing form Waylon Jennings, Michael buble to Linkin Park to Led zepplin to Robert Johnson to Dean Martin lol. Also Like Enigma might be a lil weird and old but whatever.

I listen to Alt and most Rock, although most of what I like has been classified as Classic Rock now. Since when is Nirvana classic? Oh, since it's 20 years old... LOL!

I have everything from George Jones to Tool and Bob Marley to AC/DC on my computer... My iPhone only has an audio book of Game of Thrones, of which I am 3/4 through.

I am a fan of the genre called music. And also nature is music to my ears. Listening to frogs and cicadas right now. Couple crickets but I don't think they've practiced with the rest of the band for very long, they aren't in tune. Rabble-rousers really.

I really, really, REALLY do not care for country music.
You can't spell 'crap' with out 'rap'......
And pop music hits my gag reflex.......however, I do like (2) Katy Perry song's.
One because it reminds me of my baby, and one because I like the words, and the base.

I do not like to have music on as 'back round noise'.....if I am going to listen to music, I want it up......and loud.

I guess I am a "moody" listener! HA HA

I like a broad spectrum, from Verdi to the Beatles. Old country (Cline, Williams), folk/folk rock, classic rock, blues, and even some jazz on occasion. Liked Martin but not Sinatra so much. I think the far west and mid west have the best radio stations. In California, they even have classical music on commercial radio. In Nebraska I once found a station that would play Doris Day, Led Zeppelin, and Bill Monroe in the same set, possibly interspersed with pork belly future reports.
