I made the mistake a couple of years ago of planting my asparagus along the sides of my 4' wide raised bed. Once the asparagus is done and goes to seed, the inside of the bed between the two rows is unusable.

I want to move half of it and fill it into the interior of the bed between the remaining half on the sides. It is just starting to come up. Do I need to move it quickly now or should I wait until its finished for the summer?

It's getting a little late to move now. It should have been moved as soon as the ground thawed. You can wait til the late fall now after it has died to move it.
