THese are on my spring foraging list every year. My dad used to forage for these. He would bring them home, wash them, roll them in cornmeal batter and fry them a little until the cornmeal turned golden brown. YUMMY!!
Gee, thanks, I hadn't heard that they were finding any in Missouri yet, but the map says so, so I'd better go check! I didn't know California and Washington had morels. I learn so much on here.

He and one of my boys are regular mushroom pickers. I would like to go too , but I cant hike :waa: . I love sh*ttake and morels :worship: (had to use tha tone there is no drooling face...lol.
Oh ya ANA - yes we have morels in Washington Lots of them in Western WA not so sure about Eastern.
