Mini Donkey

    I love G. Seddons post above, that is exactly perfect! My donkeys can get pretty pushy if they start getting treats often. I tend to grab a brush instead, going from head to toe, ears, faces etc. They love, love, love being brushed:) Especially if you add a little scratching along the way with your fingers:)

    Hey there G. Those are all great treats. Where we live, we also have access to Osage Orange (Bois d’arc) fruit. Don’t know why but the horses and donkeys love em. On feeding supplements, were kind of cornered. We must supplement our hoses in the winter with approx ¾ lbs/day TopHand feed, so of course the envious donkeys all want in on the action. We’ve had our heard of minis for about 10 years, but never a weight problem. Lots of Pasteur and and forage. I’ve seen those donkeys literally devour huge poison ivy vines as I take them out. It seems that donkeys have a wide palette of taste. Pardon the pun.
