Well, today was her first day of chemo she did well, no big reactions. I guess today was the stuff to work on the cells, and tomorrow it works on the cancer itself.
Then she needs to go and get shots to avoid anemia for 10 days. Then back to the chemo again.
She was telling me tonight the doctors are very optimistic about it.. They also told her it's stage 4 cancer, I know stage 4 is bad isn't it the worse? But it's only in the liver at this time, so why would they call it stage 4? Although they said the mass is big, could that be the reason? All the tests have shown it hasn't spread to other organs or her bones.
just wondered if anyone might know..
thanks

My Mil said tonight they call it stage for because it's in a major organ. I didn't know that.. I thought stage 4 meant that it was throughout the body, which it's not thankfully.
