There is a lady at the farmer's market that sells goats milk soap. Every time she sees our 'herd shares available' sign, she snootily informs my father that it's 'not legal', then vaguely references some action taken about 6 months ago... I cannot find anything but an MDARD official policy from 3/2013 regarding 'fresh unprocessed' milk shares (ours is pasteurized) saying it is unregulated/not illegal, essentially. I cannot find anything new. Any Michiganders hear otherwise?

I have the actual MDARD policy statement, I should send it to my dad to show her. :p

She was talking about something '6 months ago'... The only thing I can think of was that raid on the Michigan raw milk share farm thing that everybody posted on my FB page... that wasn't a legal action though.

MDARD = michigan department of ag and Rural development - isn't that the same thing as the michigan department of ag?
