I say maybe because I can't remember when My Nubian buck was in with her/them.He got loose and the post man thought he belonged in with the other goats and let him in cause he was waiting at the gate.We weren't too worried cause everyone was nursing kids.Buck was not in obvious rut and none of the does were acting like they were in heat so we took our time fixing his lot so he didn't escape again. But I didn't write down any dates. Mistake!!
Now I have an obviously pregnant doe who is normally hard to catch luvin on me.I didn't feel any tendons but I have trouble telling that way.She is developing a bag but it isn't full. I went ahead and put her up cause it is so cold outside. She has kidded twice but was too sick last year to breed. Her female parts are swollen and jiggle when she runs.Maybe I can get a picture tomorrow. She didn't want me looking at her back end today.I need someone to hold the front end to get a pic of the back end.LOL I am holding out for trips as big as she is, her sisters have all had trips and she was a trip.I really wanted to breed her to our registered boer buck but the best laid plans..

She doesn't look nearly as big as in person. Her belly is really hanging down. The rear shots were hard to get.I am not sure they will tell us anything more than we know.Guesses are welcome

Oh funny story about the postman. I bet the buck acted like that was where he belonged! I have our buck in with the ladies now but at night I have him separated in a different shelter. I don't want him to stink up my new barn :) Well...I didn't have help last night and there was no way that buck was going to leave the ladies. I could hear him singing, "let's get this party started".

Congratulations!!! and please, please post pictures of the little ones when they arrive.

Oh, f'r Pete's sake! What a funny story. I'm certain the postman thought he was being helpful - LOL!

Too bad you didn't write down the dates. I always try to remember to do that if there is a breakout or a breakin. Even if the parties concerned don't seem to be in heat or in rut.

Sounds like your girl is getting close. Good luck, and please let us know how it goes.

I'm excited for you! What a great story :). Last year, I was told my Gretta was due late Nov/early Dec...she had them Jan 16th! So I know how frustrating it is not to have a date. Been there done that...ugh!
To take a picture of her hind end without help, just put some food down and take it while she is eating. Good luck! :)

If he was in there before last Christmas, then she's not pregnant from him at that time.. Goats have a gestation of 5 months.. Nvm.. Re-read you post.. You're saying she shouldn't deliver any later than Christmas.. My mistake..

Mick is doing great! I still wish I knew exactly what went wrong with him.
My one dairy cross back when I didnt know what I was looking for has 4 teats so i dont know how well shes going to milk, shes more like a boer than anything. We are going have the big fence up hopefully before March, depending on how cold this winter is.
I want two dairy crosses to keep for some milk, just dont want to be over flowed. My friend thats near you would also want a doeling so you may not have to try very hard to sell them lol...

The girls were all fighting though and she was too so I don't know if she just got too active or what.I hate not having a breeding date!!!!! Darn does will drive you nuts.

More goo no kids?? I think she is toying with me. I put a tub in there ,we use those turned on their side with hay in them for the kids to curl up in. I have her in the horse stall with bars on the windows. She tipped the tub over and pushed it to the bars so she can stand on top like a circus goat and see out of the stall.
