Of the 6 pigs I purchased in the spring, 5 were males. I was informed by the farmer I bought them from that they were all castrated. When I got them home I noticed a 'lump' on one of them. You could see the scar where he had been cut, but it looked like they missed one. Am I right? Anyway about a month later the 'lump' was replaced by a dime sized hole. Did it get bit off by another pig or was it something else like a boil, that burst? I'm stumped!

If it were a testicle it would still be there. If it were a rupture it would also still be there and maybe larger. My guess is the pig had an infection and what you seen was a puss bag. It sounds like it either burst on it's own or somehow got punchered. Either way was a good thing and I am still guessing that he will be OK.
