A while back I saw an ad that had a CD-ROM set of around 20 disks containing hundreds of self-sufficiency books. I lost the contact number and haven't been able to find it again. Thanks for any help. Rev. Chad

I don't know of any CD containing books, but I do know that Backwoods Home has a LOT of their back issues and books on CD.

    Hope this helps. :)

I have all the CDs by Saxon and the Backwoods Home Magazine CDs.
The CD-ROMs I am looking for had over 150,000 pages of information on them. A lot of the information was out of print books published by "Organic Gardening & Farming". There was several hundered little reports on all kinds of self sufficiency projects. Aquaculture, homemade oil presses, setting up primitive waste treatment faciliteis, etc. The company's advertising was aimed at missionary groups and other groups that help the Third World countries. I think there was 22 CDs in the set. I know it cost several hundred dollars.

You do get a lot of books. The disks are full of AT info of ALL kinds. But be warned: The files on the cd's are made from micro-film and some of them are blurred, scratched and have dust and other blemishes on them and are almost unreadable.

If you aren't in a big hurry check the website peroidically. From time to time they put the set on sale for about a hundred off. I bought a set in december 2003 and it was on sale then. Paid about $400 shipping and all.
