looking for milk goats in Coloardo

Good afternoon;

My wife and I bought our property two years ago- we are still new at this, but we are doing very well. The question is this:

We are ready to start building up a goat herd to keep permenently, and are looking for the following:

1-2 Kashmir goats for fibre, and
2+ Alpine or LaMancha goats for milk, prefer Lamancha.

These are animals that we would keep year after year. Nothing against alpine goats, but we have more experience with LaManchas.

We have a 35 acre homestead inbetween Boulder and Estes Park in Colorado ( yes, we are very happy!).

Thanks,

We have to agree about the Alpines but we do like ours as they have spirit and color. The LaManchas are my favorite but DH didn't want to have to look at their ears. We have had all breeds but have settled on the Alpines. We don't make cheese with the milk but are thinking of getting Nubians from a neighbor. Good luck with whatever you choose.
