This happened in Enid, Oklahoma.....we are there at bare minimum 1x per week (usually nearly 3-4 times per week!) as my 6yo has a weekly dance class in Enid....we are about 30 minutes away

Last Thursday 2 sisters (a 10yo and a 12yo) broke into a neighboring home and kidnapped a 1yo boy....left a ransom note...their mom became suspicious when they said they found him on the corner....

WOW...just looked for more stories online to find that not only was it picked up by national news but also the UK and Australia

Police said the girls snuck out of their house and broke into Wells’ home through a side door about 5:30 a.m. Once inside, they took the boy, who was sleeping in his crib, as well as $20, a stroller, diapers and wipes.

A ransom note was left telling Wells, “If you want to see your son again then you won’t call police and report him missing and you will leave $200,000 on the sofa tonight and we will return your son back safe.” The note was signed “the kidnappers.”

Detectives interviewed the girls and placed them under arrest Thursday on suspicion of kidnapping for extortion and first-degree burglary.

I saw that on the Ft Smith news over the weekend when it happened, was reading it to my hubby, was amazed and aghast at the whole thing...why in the world would children do that???

Makes you wonder about the influence in their life to make them think it is ok to do something like that. Someone along the way has failed those girls terribly. Very very sad.
