The Leonids will make excellent viewing tonight (Sunday) and Monday nights. The moon will not be excessively bright this time. I'm going to go out on the dock tonight after midnight and look for them. Good thing we're still at the lake tonight and not in the city.

It's well below freezing, near zero humidity, and about 25-30mph winds outside right now.

I considered staying up.... and decided nah, I like my warm bed too much. Besides, if I got up, I'd upset the pile of cats that has taken up residence on top of me.

(If it wasn't blowing so hard, I would probably be out there shooting time lapse photos. The wind is definitely not conducive to steady crisp photos, though.)

Was outside for an hour- midnight to 1 am- getting chewed by skeeters-and saw only ONE shooting star!
