Drive by a House regular. This House they cut a hole out, put Metal over it and Metal up on the Eave, and run Stove Pipe out for his Wood Stove.

Went by today noticed the Stove Pipe no longer up, looked at the hole A/C Unit in there.

I love folks who are both practical and comfortable in their lifestyles.

You can always tell when it is about to warm up around where I live. You can see the "Good Ole Boys" taking their wood burning heaters back to the pawn shop;^).

Now you sound like my dad.
He traded his boat for ATV. Then traded the ATV for upright smoker 7 shelves.
Then traded upright 7 shelves smoker for 5 shelf smoker which is what he wanted in the first place.
Now he wants two of my metal old fashion lawn chairs and table. Going to swap me gas grill and maybe clothes presser.
    Horse trader anyone?

Are used to have an acquaintance, when he was bored he would come over looking for something to do and I would give him something like an old pair of boots on a $20 bill and tell him what I wanted perhaps a nice johnboat with a 10 horse outboard.
Usually that evening he would show up with something as good or better than I had asked for.
He considered it a game but I considered it a investment.

My boy got around 30ft of 220 wire for $20. He had it in the back seat of his pk as we were driving to the sale. he told me how he had met a guy in a lot with his trunk open and a buncha stuff all laid out. He stopped by and soon noticed the wire. The guy told him he was from Kansas and had had a job but it ended and he was trying to get back home. Boy said that he didn't see anything that interested him and started to leave. The guy said, surely theres something here you could use. Boy said, well, bout the only think he could possibly use was the wire. (And he had been looking for just such a wire to hok up his welder). Guy asked what hed pay for it. Boy asked what he wanted. Guy said that he had hoped to get $50. Boy said nope sorry and turned away. Guy said well, what would you give for it. Boy said $10. Guy said he couldn't do that. How bout $40. Billy said hed go $20 and that was it. Guy shook his head no, and boy turned around and started to walk away. Bout 1/2 way to his pk the guy said alright.

Boy is a steady church goer as I once was.
I said your the reason I don't go to church. He said Whadda ya mean?
I said, Here you had a young man who took off from his far away land and family, and came to a strange land. Everything went good for awhile, but his money ran out and he was left standing on street corners trying to make enough money to get back home. You come along. He tells you of his sad plight, and you try to rob him blind. Good Christian. lol

Makes perfect sense to me. You take your stove into the pawn shop and they store it for you for free till fall, plus give you cash to buy bait n tackle with!

Looks like a good idee to me. Nobody uses one for its intended purpose anymore anyway.
