I decided to make french toast tonight. Cut a piece of homemade bread (like there is any other kind) and cracked and spread an egg on it (not homemade yet) on one side. Stuck it in the toaster oven and voila "French Toast"!!! Is this lazy or what? It did taste good though. Tom

Tom, that's not french toast, that's texas toast. Usually done by cutting a hole in the center of the bread and putting the egg into the hole, then frying in lots of butter, but the hole is optional.

French toast you beat the egg with a little milk or cream and then dunk the bread in it to get wet like a sponge, then cook the bread.

Surprised your toaster didn't short out.
I didn't use the toaster. I put it in the toaster oven. Worked fine.
