I have 12 sheep that will be lambing soon. My what i am asking is. What sighns to look for. A few have udders about the size of a small melon if not bigger. When i squeez the teets a fluid comes out but it is not milk. She is also holowing at the hips. I have here in a stall with another sheep right across from her in another stall. When do you think that she will lamb.

Whatever time is most inconvenient for you!!

Actually , she sounds pretty close, but it can be hard to predict.

Also, it's best not to milk them at all until they lamb. There is a "plug" that blocks the teat, and removing it early can allow bacteria to enter.

What youre seeing is colostrum and it should be thick and yellowish

When they are starting to lamb, ours always start making the mooing sound that they use on their new lambs. It is a very different sound from what they use any other time.
