    Wow, thanks for posting these!
I had seen a few of them, but not all, and since kidding is still an AGONIZING 12 days away, I really enjoyed it. :)
12 days.... will I make it?
    Oh the anticipation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Ok...These didn't help. :) My doe is close to kidding and while I've birthed cows, horses, dogs and cats I'm still nervous. I'm getting more so every day and I think I have a month to go. Do you know of any pics of abnormal births? I think I'l just lay down and die if something happens during this birth...even though it's her 3rd, it's still my 1st!

Cricket, I believe one of those sites is an abnormal birth!! One leg first I think. That's what I was looking for too. I just want to know what to look for. I suppose there aren't as many pictures of those births, because you have your hands full?

I also printed out about 40 pages of "how do I know" info. Now I have to sit down and read it all tonight!!

I will look for some more pics later and post when I can. (It's easier when I'm at work, DSL!!)

I also think I have about a month or so to go. It is both of our (goat's & mine!) first time!! Fingers crossed!

Thanks mamahen. I just know the little twit is going to wait until 3 in the morning and have it fine but I can't help worrying. I have to find a way to separate her from the herd right now and that is not going to be an easy task. Holler at me when you find some site or pics. skippyera@yahoo.com :)

My first kidding of my first Toggenburg 4 mths ago was triplet does. I had been sitting by her side for days as was huge and ready to burst. The first kid was little and slipped out easy...the second kid looked, in my opinion HUGE, and I could only see one hoof. When I was seeing a nose and still only one foot I knew the other leg was bent backwards. I soon found out that there is much less room in there than in one of our Dexter cows. Panic started to set in...as much as you tell yourself not to...so I rang the local goat mentor on the mobile while supporting kids head which at this point was out. He took 5 mins to get there, and only 5 mins to put his washed arm inside her and move the shoulder around the back and around the space inside. She was born and was fine...not so big afterall. The 3rd kid was born breach. Friend helped guide her out. I say I will probably be better prepared for next seasons kidding....but probably not. They are all fine now and are beautiful.
