I have read on here that you can give ivermec to dogs. What I have on hand is Ivermec Plus. Is it safe to use for dogs? Thanks, Dian

Is Ivermec a brand name for Ivermectin? The percentage and form of the drug affects the dosage rate....Isn't Ivermect Plus a horse paste?

Ivomec Plus is Ivermectrin 1% and Clorsulon 10% - it is for cattle. I do not think I the Clorsulon is tested in dogs- I would not chance it.

BTW Ivermectin should not be used on herding breeds or herding breed crosses (collie, sheltie, etc) as many have a gene that makes useage of it deadly. The only way to be sure the dog does not have this gene is to have the dog tested for the mutant gene P-glycoprotein.
