Seriously. Look on the bright side. At least the gov now ADMITS that we're in a recession/downturn - how long did that take of them having their heads in the sand going 'nananana we don't belive you, nananananaaa'??

That's an easy question and the answer is: The longer they study the situation the more money they get to put in their pockets.

What makes me so blasted mad is that government officials kept telling us that we were nuts and that we weren't even any where near a recession; and here we've been in one for an entire year!

Good gosh, we all knew it and couldn't get them to "get it". Just shows how totally out of touch our government is with the people and how they simply don't give a hoot for our opinions and facts we know to be true.

But frankly, I could almost swear they did it this way just so they didn't have to give out more in Social Security cost of living raises this year. Now that they it's official, it's too late for any greater increases.

I noticed they didnt admit to it until *after* black Friday. Gee, I wonder why?
