Is this from itching/shedding?

    Well, the goats have begun thier yearly shedding itch- a - thon. They all seem to have rough hair along thier back. At first I thought it was from not being fed grain, but then I rethought : They itch themselves on the fence constantly! The hair curls up at the ends and curls kinda. It doesn't happen where they can't itch!

    Can we say bad hair day!?! LOL

    Nigel looks the same. He's almost finished though, and looking 10 pounds lighter! :p
    The fences need a good grooming however! :help:

    I think the hair with the split ends is just the old stuff, it's probably just dead, frazzled hair. This too shall pass, we hope... :baby04:

    I understand, however unfortunately, now that my guys are almost beautiful, the blinkin' blackflies are chewing them to bits! :grump: :grump: :grump: Then it will be the mosquitos...... :Bawling:

    What can ya do? :shrug:

    The rough hair is from itching, no doubt. I wouldn't worry about it unless you see skin problems. A good delicing wouldn't hurt any either.
