Welcome to the forum from your neighbor to the south, i.e. Kansas.

I worked on a DOT by-pass project for a subcontractor in 1998. The sub had the contract for soil compaction and for the placement of rock under certain overpass pads. Which of course means I really wasn't into heavy equipment other than a payloader. After moving so much with the payloarder I do find it tedious to move anything with the front loader of my compact tractor.

Overall I really enjoyed working around all of the machinery that was on the project. Don't think I'd want to operate a scraper as they are so rough on the driver.

    Again, welcome.
