This article is absolutely correct. As an RN, I understand that while there are severe cases of this virus, nearly every single resulting death has a respiratory comorbidity of some kind. Since February, I've seen no severe cases of this virus and I've worked in several different facilities, having a fulltime position and multiple per diem positions. Our sister facility had 10 cases, all among the elderly and all recovered without hospitalization. What we have seen this year with these supposedly skyrocketing cases of COVID is an acute decline in deaths related to influenza, CHF, COPD, etc., which are normally the yearly leaders in respiratory related deaths. Last year this country had 1.5million cases of active TB, which will absolutely kill you without medical treatment which is upwards of $20K, but no national panic, no lockdowns, no mask mandates, no media saturation. Between Nov 16 and Nov 24, two of my uncles passed away on ventilators. Their death certificates will say COVID and many of my family members are living in fear with their blinders on, stating the same. The reality is that these two retired veterans completed multiple tours in Vietnam (infantry), and once retired from active duty in their late 30s, they went to work in steel foundries, quarries and smoked their entire lives. all of which resulted in permanent lung damage. While their deaths are tragic and very painful, facts remain facts. If anyone owns a bottle or spray can of Lysol that is over a year old, read the back. It will tell you that the product kills all viruses, listing them, including coronavirus. This virus is not new but like all viruses, it has changed. It wont go away and our immune systems will begin to recognize it and will be able to fight it. Like influenza, no vaccine will eradicate this virus...it's not a disease. Influenza vaccines are based upon the previous strain, which is why they remain 50% effective, at best, because the strains change...just as coronavirus has changed and is now call covid 19 (a scarier name). These state controlled lockdowns were a test to see how quickly Americans would do as they were told and give up their rights...it didn't take too long. If the projected new administration is inaugurated, they will usher in immediate nationwide lockdowns for 6 months (per Biden's covid taskforce leader) and with it they will enact Socialism...they're already attempting to do this in democrat controlled cities - encouraging people to turn in those who aren't complying with mask mandates, curfews, social distancing and lockdown. I distinctly remember a certain Nazi leader doing the same thing, also a democratic socialist. If these nationwide lockdowns are enacted, and enforced, we will emerge from the other side without our freedom and once freedom is lost, the only way to reclaim it is through bloodshed. We can only pray that it doesn't happen.
